L.I.F.E stands for Living In Faith Everyday.
These groups focus around studying, sharing, and fellowshipping.
A men’s group that meets on the first Saturday of each month for breakfast at 8AM. This group meets seasonally from October–May. The devotions are geared towards men and their relationships with God and others. All men are welcome, regardless of age.
Imagine Women’s Ministries
Now to HIM who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or IMAGINE, according to His power that is at work within us..(Ephesians 3:20).
Our women’s ministry is based on what God can do with us… Imagine the possibilities!
We connect with God, share the joy of womanhood and give opportunity to encourage and build one another up – in faith, in life. By offering opportunities to IMAGINE what women’s ministry is, needs, and could be, we can adapt, change or add based on growth and discovery.
Most importantly, this ministry is open to all females of all ages. Crossing the lines of ‘age groups’ has allowed women to share the blessings of being a woman of God, advice for living and facing challenges, it energizes, and gives a forum for growth in all stages of life.
IMAGINE: Friday Bible Study. 10A. This group is studying ‘Beginnings’. This is a great in depth study of the book of Genesis as we explore all the beginnings: Creation (Heavens & Earth), cosmology, biology (life of all things), man & woman, marriage, sin, salvation, the flood, nations, His promise and people (Israel).
IMAGINE: Activities. Each month we come together to enjoy being women. We usually craft and share our lives and stories. Girls of all ages are encouraged to participate and bring their talents and skills. We also use this time to create opportunity for our younger girls to learn to lead by teaching different projects.
IMAGINE: Events. Events include our annual Mother’s Day celebration, one retreat off-site and a few day retreats along the way. Periodically we have service project days as well.
IMAGINE: Bulletin Board. It is funny to advertise a bulletin board, but this one is unlike any other. This board is a ministry in itself. Ladies are encouraged to take away lessons, activity ideas, prayer focus pieces. It also becomes a place to pray for others as they leave their requests. This board is updated monthly with new ideas, lessons, information, challenges and much more. So while it is nice to see, this board benefits us most in its use.
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God… And our hope for you is firm, because we know that just as you share in our sufferings, so also you share in our comfort. 2 Corinthians 1:3-4,7
This ministry of encouragement to seniors.
We are there to offer comfort and hope in Christ to those dealing with the changes of aging, ones who have health issues, one in home-bound or in assisted living situations, and those needing a bit of encouragement along the way. We have the pleasure of taking gifts, sending cards, making phone calls and visitation to bring a smile and some comfort!
Senior social opportunities are provided so folks don’t become isolated through games times, meals and the occasional outings of appropriate physical level hiking trips offered by an experienced hiking guide.
There is a Widows and Single Ladies lunch out occurring on the 3rd Wednesday of each month at various locations that is a blessing to all who participate.
We also partner with Debbie Stewart, Senior Connections, with Thursday Speakers Bureau and Senior Expo twice per year. (Senior Connections is a trade association for businesses and non-profits who work with seniors. This group provides free seminars on topics relevant to all areas of senior needs.
