What is ministry? Studying, Sharing & Serving!
That simple and that complex.  2 Timothy 2:15 says “Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.” God’s word is meant to be learned, lived and passed on.  Ministry presents an opportunity to be obedient and a blessing.

Ministries based principles:
Does it share God’s Word to others?  (2 Tim. 3:16)
Does it reach others with the love of God? (Heb. 10:24-25)
Will it bring God praise, glory or honor? (Col. 3:17)
Does it bring others to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ? (Mat. 28:19-20)

How do I do ministry? Get involved!
The best part of being a Christian is knowing your work is for God. 1 Corinthians 15:58 tells us “Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.”  What we do for God has lasting purpose.  What we do for God springs from our growing knowledge of Him and His Word.

So what should I do? Pray & Start!
Ephesians 2:10 tells us “For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” Prayer is the most effective way to determine where God wants you to begin.  Use of other tools such as spiritual gift (teaching, administration) discernment tests, listing personal strengths (outgoing, caretaker), learned skills (computer/tech skills, baking) and personal interests (camping, working with kids, singing) can help give guidance as you determine where you can plug in.  Our staff is available to help you sift through and discern areas of service.

What if I can’t serve because I have…? Great!
Knowing what you can and can’t do is just a starting place. Sometimes we need to have time to rest, heal, grow spiritually or personally, or overcome problems.  These can hinder our service for a while but our goal is to get back in the work.  Sometimes we have physical limitations that prevent us from serving in traditional ways. Mary was reminded by the Angel Gabriel “Nothing is impossible with God” (Luke 1:37) so our staff is willing to help you through these times and past these limits to offer you fulfillment in giving of yourself to God in service.

I really would like to do… for God but I need… Okay!

What’s our goal? To Bring God glory!
1 Thessalonians 1:3 says “We continually remember before our God and Father your work produced by faith, your labor prompted by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.”  We want others to go to God with praise for the blessing they receive through ministry as well as to know that our work.
